Summary:
The film shows interviews with people who have found community, security, and the path back to themselves and others through their stay at Soteria. Those portrayed convey the importance of having been offered what can be compared to being in a cocoon—no one knew what would unfold after the phase where the painful life experiences were worked through. And in the process, no one did anything specific, other than offering a community in a good setting. No one led, diagnosed, or treated them. Nevertheless, they tell how life opened up again through their stay, where psychiatry claimed that a limited life dependent on medication was the only possible future.
