Nina is a mother of three and lived outside London when she lost her youngest son to suicide in 2016.
She then became deputy director of a medium-sized voluntary organisation in the UK working on suicide prevention among young people (www.papyrus-uk.org), where she set up the London branch and led suicide prevention efforts in the local community.
Nina moved to Norway in 2019 and started the ELPIS Suicide Prevention Foundation in 2020. She now works in LEVE National Association for Survivors of Suicide. There, she leads the work to prevent suicide by virtue of the voices of the bereaved family.
